Dennerle Nano Marinus density meter

Density is a measure of the correct salinity and is therefore the most important water value in seawater. Marine animals react very sensitively to lower or higher salinities as well as short-term density fluctuations.

How to measure correctly:
Hold the dry, clean density meter at the tip with dry fingers and immerse it in the water until it floats on its own.
The density meter must float freely.
There must be no air bubbles on the density meter because they will distort the measurement.
Read the value on the scale at the level of the water surface (not at the top of the water film that creeps up the density meter!)
