Cat Nutritional Needs: Almo Nature's Point of View

The cat is a strict carnivore whose natural prey (mice, small rodents and birds) consists of approximately 70 to 80% water.
By eating these animals, the cat automatically absorbs most of the water it needs to survive and this is precisely why it has no instinct to drink.
If our domestic cat is fed only dry food today, it runs the risk of not drinking enough water.
Almo Nature therefore recommends a diet based on two principles:

- Variation between dry and wet food: a daily alternating diet consisting of both wet food (at least 60% of the daily ration) and dry food (maximum 40% of the daily ration).
- Variation of proteins: variation between all types of white and red meat (source of iron) and fish (rich in fatty acids) to ensure adequate protein intake in its entirety.
