Large adult dogs have a relatively small, sensitive digestive system and therefore a limited digestive capacity.
The relative weight of the gastrointestinal tract in relation to body weight is only 3.5% in large dogs, but 7.0% in small dogs.
The intestinal walls are more permeable than in small dogs, which can result in increased water entering the intestine and thus a higher stool water content.
Increased fermentation activity of the colon bacteria can also cause flatulence in large dogs.

Bones and joints Large dogs are often very active. Due to their natural size and the associated body weight (up to 44 kg), their joints are often exposed to intensive strain.
Increased, excessive movement can lead to early changes in bones and joints, such as arthrosis.
This must be compensated by a special, highly digestible diet.

The taurine it contains can help strengthen heart function and support the heart muscles.
