The poodle is characterized by its liveliness, curiosity, docileness and versatile talents. The poodle is one of the few breeds whose hair grows continuously. Its exceptional coat consists of 20% thick top hair and 80% fine, curly wool.
The poodle has a particularly long life expectancy and should be protected against the signs of aging.
For example, the risk of cataracts increases significantly in older poodles, with so-called free radicals being seen as the trigger.
The poodle has closely spaced teeth, in the gaps between which food residues can accumulate, which can then develop into tartar.
