ALGAE LIME
For Dogs & Cats
100% LITHOTHAMNIUM CALCAREUM
Natural calcium supply
from the seaweed
Single feed for dogs & cats
The seaweed Lithothamnium calcareum (red algae) is a natural source of calcium, magnesium and other minerals. Calcium is needed for healthy bone metabolism and strong teeth, and together with magnesium it supports muscle function and nerves. The seaweed is also characterized by a high bioavailability of calcium in the organism. Canina® ALGAE CALCUTE is an alternative to other calcium sources such as meat bone meal or egg shell powder, especially for dogs and cats that are intolerant to animal sources of calcium. Canina® ALGAE CALCUTE is equally ideal for puppies, young dogs, kittens, adult animals, senior animals and pregnant/lactating bitches/cats. As a natural source of calcium to optimize the needs of home-prepared, cooked or raw meals (BARF), Canina® algae lime is a valuable supplement, as the phosphorus content of the algae is low and thus the meat meal with a naturally high phosphorus content receives a balanced ratio of calcium to phosphorus (adult animals calcium to phosphorus ratio 1.2 to 1).
