Description
older dogs and senior dogs
Like humans, dogs reach an age when their hair becomes greyer, age spots form, their skin becomes looser, their muscles weaker, their gait stiffer and their eyesight and hearing gradually deteriorate. Pay attention to these changes in your pet, otherwise you will miss the start of their new phase in life and expose them to unnecessary stress. As they get older, your canine friend needs your foresight more than ever. Even when you go for a walk, you are required to pay more attention to compensate for your pet's increasing eyesight and hearing impairment. You should also extend the rest periods accordingly. More rest also means less energy needs, which you should take into account when choosing food. The food must also be easily digestible and easy to use, otherwise it will quickly be converted into fat. Being or staying slim is now the order of the day. Statistically speaking, slim dogs are less susceptible to disease and therefore live longer.
senior complete food
What is eaten has a significant influence on the further aging process of your dog. With the right diet, you can reduce the signs of aging even in very old dogs or even reverse them to a certain extent. The key is to have a food composition that meets the dog's needs, specifically addresses the changed metabolism and contains vital substances that counteract the typical ailments of old age.
Easily digestible and particularly well absorbed
We have specially formulated our senior complete feed to be particularly easy to use and digest. The muscle meat of the Boer goat in food quality
has a low fat content, a high digestibility of up to 98% and therefore does not contribute to the formation of body fat. It is eaten very willingly because it lacks the typical goat smell. To further promote the digestive process, we have added natural and tasteless thyme to the food. Probiotic FOS (also fructooligosaccharides), which is also added to baby food, also ensures a healthy intestinal flora by fighting bad/pathogenic bacteria that populate the intestines. To further promote fat burning, we have also added taurine. Our aim is to keep your dog in good physical shape or to get him into it.
More active and mobile
In order to promote general fitness in old age, your pet's muscle mass must be maintained. The muscle meat of the Boer goat helps with this, as it is not only extremely digestible but also has a particularly high protein quality. We have also added nettle herb in combination with the trace element manganese to our senior complete food because it is known to support the musculoskeletal system in a natural way. A very special ingredient is Articu Pro®, a combined joint protector consisting of a combination of glucosamine, chondroitin and MSM developed especially for dogs. These are high-dose nutrients for the joints, cartilage, bones, ligaments and tendons that counteract movement disorders caused by age-related wear and tear.
- Glucosamine protects the joints and maintains mobility. It is a natural component of connective tissue, cartilage and synovial fluid, but is produced in ever lower quantities as we get older.
- Chondroitin is responsible for binding water in the connective tissue, which affects the required elasticity of the articular cartilage.
- Methyl Sulfonyl Methane (MSM) strengthens the connective tissue, thereby promoting the elasticity of the cartilage.-
More vitality and fewer age-related complaints
In order to maintain or reawaken your pet's vitality, we have put a lot of thought into the composition of the food. Here is a selection of the ingredients and their effects on health.
- Sweet potatoes are popular and are the most nutrient-rich vegetable according to CSPI (Center for Science in the Public Interest). Sweet potatoes are rich in nutrients and vital substances. These include antioxidants, which prevent inflammation, such as asthma, arthritis and gout. They also contain a lot of potassium, which helps prevent heart disease and stabilizes blood pressure.
- Vitamin D3 promotes hard bone formation and strengthens muscles.
- Hawthorn supports the performance of the heart.
- Sage has an inhibitory effect on the growth of bacteria, viruses and fungi.
- Fenugreek has been scientifically proven to be effective against hair loss.
- Ginseng has a positive effect on motivation, increases concentration and strengthens the immune system.
- Nucleotides ensure the reconstruction of destroyed cells.
- Zinc is directly involved in the process of vision. The intake of zinc and vitamins slows down the development or progression of cataracts, for example.
- Selenium increases the immune system.
- Copper prevents inflammation.
Ecological origin
Our meat selection comes from Boer goats that are kept on pasture all year round and therefore has a particularly favorable composition of fatty acids. It is therefore much healthier than meat from animals from factory farming.

Anyone who knows us knows that all of our food is grain-free. Dogs are carnivores, so our senior complete food is based exclusively on animal protein, with no added grain.
