In DARK FOREST we used sweet potatoes for the first time. The sweet potato, originally from the Peruvian Andes, is considered one of the oldest and most nutrient-rich foods. We have eliminated cheap rapeseed oil, also often referred to as canola oil in American foods, as an inappropriate source of fat. Oils, however pressed or extracted, are a natural raw material, but due to the concentration and quantity of oilseeds from which they are made, in our view they are not optimal for feeding dogs.

We use lamb fat that is naturally obtained and contained in the wolf's food chain, as well as our Mediterranean herb mixture, various forest fruits and other wild herbs that are also on the menu of the ancestors of our domestic dogs.
