With the blanched peanuts you get an energy-rich supplementary food that is particularly popular with many birds and rodents.

Grown year-round mainly in the USA and South America, peanuts grow underground in a seed pod that is easy to open. After harvesting, the peanuts are dried and shipped to Germany in containers. During blanching, the peanuts are freed from their seed shell and skinned using steam.

Peanuts are characterized by a high fat content and a comparatively low starch content. With 25% protein content, peanuts have a high nutritional value. 100g of peanuts contain 3 mg of zinc and 180 mg of magnesium, making them one of the plant foods richest in magnesium.
Peanuts also contain vitamins E, B1, B2 and B6.
