Just like people, cats can be exposed to situations that cause stress. Stress is a normal body reaction, but if these situations last too long or are too intense, they can lead to discomfort and problems, even behavioral disorders, neuroses and depression. Stress triggers in cats are often social and territorial.

Stress in cats in households often results from territorial conflicts or from living together with other residents of the household. For example, the classic territorial conflict in the household arises when another animal (cat, dog, etc.) is taken in or another person moves in. Another stress factor for the cat is a change in the familiar environment, for example when the furnishings or new furniture are changed, a move or settling into a new home. Likewise, any situation that the cat perceives as a constraint or fear can trigger stress. (e.g. transport to the vet, travel, fireworks, thunderstorms, etc.)

The active ingredient in Felisept is extracted from catnip (Nepeta Cataria), a plant from the mint family, which also includes various types of mint. The plant gets its name from its attractive and calming effect on cats, triggered by the substance "nepetalactone".

Nepetalactone ensures that animals are calmed even in socially and territorially triggered stress situations. Clinical studies have shown that the special concentration of ingredients in Felisept Home Comfort led to calming and a reduction in signs of stress in cats after just a few days.

The studies showed that the calming effect of nepetalactone on cats increased the longer the product was used.

Application:

Spray the affected areas with the Felisept calming spray from a distance of around 10 cm. If urine marking occurs, clean the areas with an odorless cleaner before use. The application should be repeated daily to achieve the desired effect over the long term. When visiting the vet or travelling, every corner, the floor and the ceiling of the inside of the transport box should be sprayed. It is recommended to use the calming spray in combination with the Felisept Home Comfort Set (vaporizer and bottle) to increase well-being in the home environment.
